Name: Gavlan Miller
Age: 32
Country of Birth: England
Country of Residence: England
Languages Spoken: English (Albeit with a slightly noble accent)
Personality: Noble and stoic, Gavlan appears as some sort of "Knight in shining armor", having vowed to respect the rules of the Church, unlike most other Hunters. However, these rules do not include being gentle or subtle, and Gavlan is quite open about his thoughts on his work and mostly anything that doesn't involve the Church. Many civilians have seen him slaughter a beast in their very town, not caring to reduce collateral damage to a minimum until the beast was dead. In truth, Gavlan enjoys the act of killing and removing the life from such demonic creatures, but his mind only cares about that: Killing the beasts hunters are sent to fight. He doesn't care about murdering civilians or other humans, but will kill anything that is a beast, and that includes former hunters. This dark personality was spawned from him being indoctrinated by the Church since early birth, making him blindly follow the Church's teachings and disregarding anything else that didn't involved the slaying of beasts. However, due to a traumatic experience, Gavlan's faith into the Church was greatly reduced, to the point that he will only reply to them when contacted by the Pope himself.
History: Gavlan was born an orphan and was quickly abducted by the Church, whom wanted to test if it possible to create a person capable of slaughtering beasts more than any other hunter. Although person was a vague term, since Gavlan might as well have been considered a machine. He was trained by the best swordsmen in the Church, most of noble origin. He was taught the patterns of most beasts's behavior, given accurate psychological analysis of them and tips on their hunting behaviors. He learned mathematics, physics, anything to further his goal in the cause. He was never allowed to interact with other people unless they were members of the Church. He only slept when his training was over. In simple terms, Gavlan's life was Hell, but to him, someone whom had never seen the outside world with detail, it wasn't so bad. Once he was 18, he slaughtered a dozen of beasts in a week, covering in bloodshed. But he felt happy as he did that, since it was the only thing he was born to do: Kill. He was so dedicated to killing that other hunters were disgusted by his behavior, making him the only hunter whom hunted alone. The loneliness didn't bother him, but it did infuriate the Church, whom wanted more Hunters to be "devoted" as him to their cause.
The experiment was considered a failure when Gavlan was sent to lead a troop of soldiers to fight the beasts, since the Church thought that perhaps with an army, Gavlan would have been the apex Hunter. However, the event, known as the "Damned 33rd", ended with the deaths of all 33 soldiers under Gavlan's command, whom angrily returned to the Church and affirmed that what the Church sent him to do was a "betrayal of their own teachings". Gavlan is still officially a hunter of the Church and is forced to follow their orders when the Church is under dire peril. But secretly, the Church wishes to get rid of him, someone who knows exactly what happened during the "Damned 33rd".
Notable Skills: A master Hunter, and probably one of the most skilled ones that is currently alive. He knows everything from combat tactics to hunting and psychology, making him an extremely dangerous opponent to beasts.
Notable Weaknesses: Due to his enjoyment of killing, he usually attempts to fight even in the most dire of situations, refusing to surrender according to the Church's law. This can make him appear quite a bit psychotic at times, making his relationship with others feel awkward.
Important Items: A flintlock pistol loaded with a silver bullet in pocket. He wears a golden, triangular shaped helm on his head at all times, a symbol of his status in the Church, similar to an executioner's hood. He only removes it in secret. (Think Pyramid Head, only that the helm is smaller and rounder, in order to be worn without pain).
Appearance: Gavlan always wears elegant, noble attire, similar to that of English and French noblemen. While appearing unfit for combat, these clothes were in reality made by the finest of the Church's tailors, whom made sure to add some extra resistance to it, under the form of thin chainmail under the clothing, protecting him from minor blows. Other than that, he wears a golden, triangular helm that he rarely removes.
STAND PROFILE
Name: Wheels
Ability: Wheels manifests itself as a giant wheel in Gavlan's hand, being about as tall as the average human (Try thinking about a slightly bigger cart wheel). While its made of steel and weighs quite a ton, its as light as a feather to Gavlan, allowing him to wield it with incredible dexterity. Gavlan and crush and smash his foes with the wheel, but its true power is unleashed when he rotates it with his hand, causing it to become so sharp that it's able to cut even the most robust of materials to pieces. The air movement also allows him to throw the wheel and manipulate it as it goes, like a boomerang, unless of course someone attempts to mess with its trajectory by throwing objects towards it and the such. While it's an amazing combat Stand, its weakness is that using it too much on strong foes and surfaces will cause it to become weaker and weaker, perhaps even breaking it. Depending on the damage received, it may take either a few seconds or two minutes for the wheel to regenerate, leaving Gavlan vulnerable.
