CHARACTER PROFILE
Name: Santiago Desigual Chinarro
Age: 38
Country of Birth: Seville, Spain
Country of Residence: England
Languages Spoken: Spanish, English
Personality: Very serious, putting his religion and ideals above most else in life. He does not tolerate any sort of behavior he deems 'blasphemous'.
History: Santiago Desigual Chinarro was born at 8 in the morning at the edge of Seville, in a large house on a hill, August 17, 17XX. His family was what one would describe as 'exceedingly rich'. He had several dukes and duchesses on both sides of the family, and his mother was a second cousin of the Queen. His family estate encompassed a small forest, which he spent much of his childhood exploring with his brothers and sisters. At the age of 15, he entered the cloth. By 18 he had secured a lucrative position in the Inquisition, working as an assistant to a particularly nasty Alcaide. Unfortunately, the Alcaide was hit by a passing cart and killed during the summer of Santiago's second year of working for him. Having shown his devotion to the Church, Santiago, though young, was selected to fill the position of Alcaide.
He fulfilled his job diligently and with pride, but things were starting to go wrong. The Inquisition didn't have the power it used to, and they seemed to be losing more and more by the day. In a desperate attempt to show the Crown that they still had some power, the Inquisition sent a select few of their very best to Italy, to learn the art of the Spin. Santiago spent several years in Italy, learning from the best Spin Masters in Naples. But while he was away, the Inquisition was officially disbanded, putting him out of a job. But the Crown, seeing these newly trained soldiers of the cloth as incredibly useful assets, repurposed them as special agents of the Kingdom of Spain. He traveled for several years around the world of the Spanish Kingdom, doing whatever he was required to do. Recently, however, he has been sent to England for reasons unexplained, besides a vague and ominous letter written to him by an old friend...
Notable Skills: A master swordsman, Spin user.
Notable Weaknesses: Can easily make others mad with his straight-forward way of going about things.
Important Items: Pair of specially crafted swords, named “PLVS” and “VLTRA” respectively. Cross necklace, bible.
Appearance: Santiago is tall, muscular, and imposing. He has the tanned skin typical of people from Southern Spain, with black hair to match. He has a large, drooping mustache and a pointed goatee. His eyes are dark and a little unnerving, set a little farther back in his face than most people. As for clothing, he wears the plate chest piece typical of a 18th century Conquistador, and not much else in terms of real armor. As for the rest of his garments, he mostly wears red leather clothes besides that, all of them having a sort of posh look to them. They're all dark red, with his boots and gloves being a slightly darker shade. On his back Santiago wears a red and gold cape, inlaid with intricate geometric designs. This cape is clipped together by a golden pin resembling the Seal of the Tribunal of Spain. On his head he wears a wide brimmed circular hat, also red, with a single golden feather stuck into it. He has two swords in their scabbards are on either side of his hips.
SPIN ART
Name: Swords of Seville
Ability: Despite the normal healing abilities typical of all Spin users, Santiago studied a style of Spin that is specifically paired with bladed weapons. His swords, marked by the words “PLVS” and “VLTRA” carved into their blades, were crafted with Spin specifically in mind. The swords are made in such a way that the blade is slightly disconnected form the hilt, allowing someone to move them around if they apply a little force. Santiago uses this to do a 'drill attack', wherein he stabs an opponent with his swords and uses his Spin to drill through the victim. The blades are made of the finest quality Toledo steel.
They look like this, basically. Except instead it has gold details instead of silver.
